Carsyn was truly our "hot wheels" out of CH Hunter and CH Ginny. She's a dynamite girl who has a beautiful front, a solid topline, dense gorgeous coat, beautiful side gait and an endearing, very outgoing, loving personality. Carsyn started her show career in April 2006 and consistently received wonderful reviews from the judges about her substance and outstanding breed type. After sitting out the entire winter of 2006-07 in her underwear, Carsyn came back into the ring for only one show in Albuquerque, NM, in May 2007 where she was awarded Winners Bitch, Best of Opposite Sex over a special, and earned her AKC championship.Carsyn was bred to CH Walker (seen on our Champions page) and had her first litter in March 2008, producing Mandy, pictured on the "Champions" page. Mandy is just spectacular. She very much resembles her mother Carsyn and has the same sweet temperament. Carsyn is celebrating her New Year 2009 by going to live with AJ and Carrie in Arizona, where she will finally get to be the pampered house dog she's aspired to be all her life. 
Pictured here at just 15 months of age Soldier certainly lived up to his potential. Soldier finished his AKC championship in March 2007, making him the third male from the Mikah-Zephyr litter to achieve his championship. And then Soldier went to Finland.Since Soldier's European show debut in May 2007, he's amassed numerous Best of Breeds, has earned numerous championships, a total of 17 CACIB's and has also been awarded multiple group placements, including a very prestigious GROUP ONE for his new owner, Hanna Kukkola of Inuline Akitas, Finland. Soldier finished 2007 as the top winning Akita in Finland in only 7 months of competition. In 2008 he earned several more championship titles, including his CIB International title on the first weekend he became eligible, and he qualified for Crufts at his first "Winners" show in both 2008 and 2009. As if all these accomplishments are not enough, he has also produced several outstanding litters of puppies, including a multiple BOB winning female who has herself qualified for 2009 Crufts.At 4 years of age, Soldier continues to display a very gregarious, outgoing, loving temperament to all humans and animals alike. He regularly swims in the river during the summer months and goes for long walks with Hanna, weather permitting. His true love is Laura, Hanna's college-age daughter. Laura has been his handler in the show ring, and together they are an impressive team. They've also formed a very strong bond.Although he's no longer living with us in our home, he will always have a special place in our hearts. Soldier is an exceptional personality, very endearing, very playful, a total goofball but a thoroughly lovable one. He can frustrate you one minute and then steal your heart the next. We miss you Big Guy!!
On this page are dogs that we have bred, co-bred and owned. We showed them to their AKC championships before they moved on to new homes. Although it's difficult for us to re-home dogs that we've lived with and loved, we know they are cherished by their new owners, and now have the opportunity to be house dogs and loving companions in addition to being "champions." Their lives are better now and that's more important than any titles they could ever earn.
